Phiwa Nkambule (Sicelo Phiwayinkosi Nkambule) is a Swaziland-born South African technology entrepreneur born on 24 January 1992.
In 2014 he founded Cybatar, a tech startup company headquartered in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa that contributed in the incubation of innovative ideas and won Best Cloud Computing Startup Africa at the 2015 African Corporate Excellence Awards.
In 2015 he co-founded Riovic, a South African digital insurance (InsurTech/FinTech) company backed by an insurance market that uses P2P insurance as a distribution channel, which is new in the South African market. The company is part of the 100 best FinTech companies in Africa, a nominee in the 2016 African FinTech Awards and is part of the top 26 FinTech startups in South Africa according to Ventureburn. Riovic owns PolicyLedge, LipaSafe and Anzani Ventures.
He has been named “Young African Entrepreneur on the Rise” by Entrepreneur Review, is part of the Top 100 Young Entrepreneurs to Follow on Twitter and has been named together with five other African tech entrepreneurs a “digital game changer” and “Bill Gates in the making”. He was named in the Forbes Africa Under 30 in 2018.
